Jason M. Pérez is a member of the Democratic Party who last served as the 34th Squad Leader of Unit 2 of the great State of New York in 2020. He previously served as the 33rd Executive Officer from 2019 to 2020. His interests include counseling, adolescent education, and public activism in local government.
A Distinguished Fellow of the Law Institute, Jason's academic background encompasses Constitutional Law, AP United States History, Moot Court/Mock Trial, Legal Writing/Research, Honor Economics, and AP Government and Politics, completing them at the top of his class.
Upon finishing AP United States History second in his class of 70 students, Jason was hand-selected by Squad Leader Connor Liang to serve as Executive Officer. Jason helped secure the first state-level victory in 33 years. Upon Connor's relinquishment of responsibilities, Jason was promoted to Squad Leader.
Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts, dual majoring in Social Studies & History from Hunter College, where he completed more than 60 credits in history, political science, geography, and economics.
While in college, Jason was a campaign intern for Antonio Reynoso's campaign for Brooklyn Borough President. Jason's next steps will be to become a high school social studies teacher and complete his Master of Arts in Social Studies.
